Baiting and monitoring systems
A baiting system places monitoring stations around the property, and above-ground stations directly on active workings, so termites recruit to a bait matrix and carry it back to the nest. Because the workers do the distribution, baiting can reach a colony no drill rig ever could, at the cost of running as a program rather than a single visit.

Timing
When it's needed
The strong choice where a continuous treated zone is impractical: tiered landscaping, waterfront structures, extensive paving, or slab designs with no honest way to complete a perimeter. Also preferred by owners who want less termiticide in the ground, accepting servicing visits in exchange.
Leave live termite workings undisturbed until a technician has seen them, keep children and pets away from freshly treated soil and open trenches during works, and never handle bait station contents. If you suspect termiticide has entered a waterway or tank supply, contact the applicator and the NSW EPA.
